OMG

What is this, Kimbie has a blog...... Who knew?

First things first, I think I'm going back public, considering what a hassle it is to try and keep up 2 blogs.....
well sort of. Also due to the amount I actually blog. There's really no point to this chaos. (We'll see if this is the reason I blog so much). Anyways, Lots has happened in the last what, 5 years. We are currently living back at Joey's parents house, many of you know that though. Kaiyenna had her 3rd birthday towards the end of August, and today is Keygs 2nd Birthday. Happy birthday Buddy. Shortly after Kaiyenna's birthday day we put her in dance. So far she loves it!!! My little brother gets home from the mish in less than a month. My kids are super hilarious. For example.... On Halloween we took them trick-or-treating and after a couple of houses Kaiyenna started to pick up what we were doing, so the 3rd house she knocks on the door and says Trick-or-treat. Well the lady came to the door with no candy and Kaiyenna was a little confused, and says: "Where's the candy". I'm still laughing about it today! Then later that night Joey and I went up to Harry O's in park city with my friend Molly and her Hubby and a few others. They had their Halloween party that was featured by Lunatic Fringe and I won a ticket and got another ticket for free... Thanx Smalls. ..... I just have one thing to say: Mr. Guy dressed up like a priest, Thanks for being creepy and grabbing my butt, and trying to have a Kimbie sandwich dance with my hubby on the other side. Anyways... Back to my kids being super hilarious... The day after Halloween I went to get the kids and I hear Kaiyenna through the door say: "Hey Keygs, it's a scary cow.... MoooOOOOooooOOOoo" and I open the door to her sitting on Keydran's bed with her cow hand puppet. Then, Keygs was running around with a skeleton ring RAaaRRRring at me and I would scream in response. He would then say: "Sorry Mom" in response to me screaming. Oh they crack me up!
I was currently called to be the Sacrament Program Coordinator, which btw is very ironic, my sister Ang has the exact calling. I graduate from Paul Mitchell the school in the middle of January which brings me to the real reason I'm blogging. We are having a contest at school.
It's called NEW client BINGO! I need approximately 30
new client to come in for a service who have never received a service from me. If you are interested in helping me reach my goal, you can book your appointment with me Kimbie139. Just call 801.266.4693. Come in for a cut, color, cut/color, scalp treatment, brow waxing, perm or chemical straightening and more. If you have ?'s about pricing, location, etc... you can e-mail me at kimbieduck@gmail.com. Do you want to know what the winner gets? Well, the first 10 people to complete this BINGO card by Jan 30th (the 15th ish for me b/c I graduate) get an all expenses paid trip to NY to the International Beauty Show!!! YEA! The Red Footed Booby

Here is a conversation Kaiyenna and Joey had the other night while Joey was putting the kids to bed.

Kaiyenna: "What's that daddy?"

Joey: "That's the Red Footed Booby."

Kaiyenna: " Booby?.... I love booby....  give booby kisses?..."

While holding her bird she kept putting the beak on Joey's cheek saying....
"Booby tickle daddy...."

Merry Christmas! It's a long story...

The reason my Christmas post is late is b/c I've been "trying" to catch up on sleep missed from Christmas. Christmas was crazy busy... We had so many things planned for Christmas day... Big breakfast with the Duckworth side... cousins, aunts, uncles, grandma and grandpa... everyone. We also have 2 missionaries out... they are both in England, but they are not both in the same area. My little brother Austin's phone call was scheduled for 10:oo am @ my oldest brother's house in highland. And Joey's little bother Eli's phone call was scheduled for noon @Joey's parents house in Magna. And then the gift exchange/dinner the immediate Duckworth family does @ 5:00. Joey had also told his grandma he would help make the breakfast that was scheduled for 9:00. B4 he knew when the missionaries were calling. It's really hard to be in 2 places at once. So, Joey's mom let us borrow her car so that I could still talk to my brother and Joey could still help with breakfast and talk to his little brother. Then I could meet up with them later to do the gift exchange/dinner. So things as of Christmas eve were going as planned. Christmas morning comes. Joey and I wake up extra early to get ready so I'm not trying to rush out the door and to give my self enough time to drive on the snowy roads. Then we woke up the kids and enjoyed our Christmas morning as a family....

Here is a cute video of Kaiyenna's reaction to all the presents.  Now b4 you watch the video, you have to know that our living room is quite small, so to put a tree up would take up the majority of the room. Last year we had bought a little 3 foot tree and put it on our kitchen table. Well, this year I didn't want it on the table so we waited until Christmas eve to put it up. That way the kids wouldn't get into it. Kaiyenna has recently learned from watching her favorite show World World that a Christmas tree has a star on top and that it's the most important decoration on a tree. So after putting up the tree, I realized this and also realized we didn't have a star, so Joey came up with the idea to use one of the kids' toy stars. Pretty white trash yes I know, but where do you get a star @ 10:00 on Christmas eve... yes I know I could have made one, but I was very tired and lazy at the moment, so the next best solution was the toy star...

Here is everything keygoo got...
  1. 2 pair of shoes... church and regular
  2. A shirt
  3. church socks
  4. &... A new car seat, we got that one a couple of weeks early considering he was supposed to have a front facing car seat at the beginning of Nov.

Here is everything Kaiyenna got...
  1. Winter clothes... she was in desperate need of them
  2. tights
  3. A coat
  4. &... new boots. Her calves were too big to fit them so we had to take them back and they didn't have anymore :(

They both got the big mega Lego's and block to share, oh and Kaiyenna had been asking for bubbles in the bath tub, so I got them actual bubble bath instead of the run off suds from their shampoo.

Look what I got...
From the previous post, I mentioned I was going back to beauty school, well they have a dress code and it's all black, so I got black clothes for Christmas and I got new pointy boots. My old ones are too big. I have very small feet.

Then Joey got....
A new pair of Nike's and all the Nike fit stuff to use while he's working out.

Joey got both him and I a surprise gift that was supposed to come after Christmas but ended up getting here a couple of day early.

The Juke... it swivels open... They are tiny phones. We got them for free with 2 year contract renewal. Our old phones were dying. So that was our Christmas morning!  But, on to the rest of the day. It was about 7:30 am when Joey decided to leave to help his grandma. Well, he got about 4 drive-ways down and got stuck, so after the help of some friend he was finally unstuck enough to get back to our drive-way, so He decided to stay home until the plows came. 5 hours later they show up. They spent the whole morning digging out their equipment so they could clear our road. Finally at 3:00 we were able to leave. That gave us enough time to get to Joey parents house to do the family gift exchange/dinner. So after our party their we go to leave and see that we are again snowed in. So we stayed the night at the parents house along with Joey's sister Abbi and her family. The next morning we were supposed to get home so we could get ready for my family's Christmas party @ 3:00. Well the roads were still covered with snow.  About 1:00 the snow had been driven on enough that it was packed down. so we headed to our house and got cleaned up grabbed our white elephant gifts and the food we were supposed to bring and headed to the party. We got their a little after 5, I think. Well after that party got over the roads weren't too bad, but bad enough that Joey felt we should wait until it was light out side to see. So again we slept out of our own beds and had very tired children. But thank you Shane and Tiff and Mama and Papa Duck for letting us stay in your home. So Now.... today, I'm still trying to catch up on missed sleep. I can't believe I haven't felt fully rested yet.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! Enjoy your happy new year too!

It's been a while... yes I know

Sorry for my slacking. It's been like a month since I lasted blogged. Well, to get caught up... here are a few things we've been up to this month. We celebrated Joey's 28th birthday earlier this month... happy belated birthday on the blog babe. Love you smuch,  I've been doing a lot of research lately. I went to beauty school when I was in high school and a little after I graduated. Well, I had to get a job, so I chose that, over beauty school... I kind of got overwhelmed doing both, so I dropped out. Well, going back and finishing has been in the back of my mind for the last year or so, so, I finally did what I had to do to get back into it. After looking at a couple of different schools I've mad my decision. I'm hoping to start on the 5th of January going to night classes at Paul Mitchell the School. I'm very excited! Since I have some hours from before. It will only take me half the time to finish.

I recently did something very brave. After being platinum blonde and the going back dark, my hair was soooo unhealthy and hard to grow out and even style, My color was fading really fast too.  So... it was time to CUT. IT. ALL. OFF. It already feels so much more healthy.....

here it is...
It's very easy to style and not as time consuming to blow dry. My hair is very thick. Anyways... It's definitely a change, but I think It's a good one. Also, this week we had Joey's work christmas party. And Santa was there. Both of my children were a little unsure about him. But I'm sure that will change in the years to come! The party was at a place called Noah's. It has an ice skating rink on the top. It was sorta scary, I haven't skated in over 6-7 years, so I was a little rusty, not that I was really good before.

Here are picture of us and santa...

and......

santa ice skating!
Well, shoe skating!

Well, that's pretty much what we've been up to. Sorry it took me so long to blog. I'll try and be better about it. But, I can't promise anything.

I love you Husband

Okay, I just wanted to say... how grateful I am for my hubby.
Every marriage has their problems and every marriage has their arguments. I'm so glad that we have a relationship where we can tell each other ANYTHING. And no matter wha
t it is, we both know we still love each other, and can work through anything. And as long as you keep your heavenly father apart of it... satan can't tear you apart. I love you babe.

Happy birthday Keygoo!

Today we celebrated Keydran's 1st birthday. I can't believe how fast his first year went. 1 thing I've learned, is that Keygoo hates chocolate cake. I tried to get his hands in it, but he would get frustrated and shake it all off. and as you can see in the pictures... he lost interest in the cake real fast.  Well I know for next year, I'll make him white cake. I love you guy!

11.04.2008

We have a winner!

YEAH! Amy, you guessed right! Keydran and I were Demitri and Anastasia for Halloween! Also, for the comment I left with a clue... I was informed that Anastasia is not a Disney movie, so I'm sorry for the false clue.

11.03.2008

Can you guess?

Joey wanted me to post a picture of me dressed up for Halloween.... he also wanted to see if anybody could guess, so lets hear it people... oh and don't forget little Keydran in the back. He was dressed according to my costume. I guess you could say "We matched"! And here is Joey and Kaiyenna. It's pretty self explanatory....

We didn't spend a dime on costumes this year. This is stuff we had around the house already, so I was pretty pleased with the outcome!  I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Thanx!

Thanx people who voted on the poll I had on my blog.

Blonde to Brown

In my tag post, I mentioned that I went from super blonde to a medium brown... Here is the pic... when I don't have a rash all over my body.

10.20.2008

Here is the story! it's kind of long, so bare with me.

Okay so here it is folks... So pretty much strep and mono have the same side effects. Swollen tonsil w/puss, swollen lymph nodes, fever, headache, etc... Well I went to the Doctor for a completely different reason. I had been experiencing the worst headache for over a week straight, and I had slight fevering. So I went to the doctor on Weds the 8th to get it checked out. Not only did I have the worst headache, but I had the swollen tonsil w/puss, and swollen lymph nodes. But I wasn't feeling the pain from either of those. Well the doctor wanted to test me for strep.... which came back negative. But he thought that there was definitely a bacterial infection going on so he prescribes me to some antibiotics... augmentin. Well that night, my headache was getting really bad, so I took a lortab.... the next morning around 7:00 I wake up and the headache had doubled in pain, so we call the on-call doctor and he tells us to go into the ER to be checked for meningitis. After talking with the ER doctors, They are both convinced that I have strep and that my primary care had gotten a false negative, which happens about 1 out of every 10 or something. Well, to test for meningitis is very painful and most of the time it's viral and you can't do anything for a viral infection anyways, so it'd be pointless really. They do a CT scan of my head just to make sure there is nothing serious going on in there. Everything came back clear, and they said for me to continue with my antibiotics to help clear out the bacteria from the strep. They also prescribed some percocet for the headache.  Well the rest of the weekend went by and Joey was starting to get sick. By Weds the 15th he was sicker than a dog. So he scheduled appointments for both of us to be seen. My headache was not as bad, but it was still there and I had run out of percocet, which was making my skin itch. So he didn't want to prescribe more for me. I was getting sick to my stomach when ever I took Ibuprofen, and  Tylenol wasn't strong enough. So he gave me a migraine medicine, which I only had to take twice. Anyways... after the doctor looked at Joey, he said that what I have has to be viral, because a bacterial infection would have been taken care of with in 24 hours after being on the antibiotic. So he says: "I'm gonna test you both for West Nile and mono, and the different strands of mono, and we will get the results the next day." So we leave, but I didn't ask the Doctor if I should continue with the antibiotic. I just did, because I've heard that you should always finish a cycle of antibiotics so your body doesn't get immune to it. NOW, lets takes a step back for a sec...Kaiyenna's light fixture fell out of her ceiling a while back, the builders didn't use the actual holes to screw it in. They used the ceiling, which is pretty much made of sheet rock and they didn't even go through a stud. Anyway the same night  I broke out in rash I had fixed Kaiyenna's light... ya know, thought it would be a good idea to fix it, it was just hanging by wires. Well the light has fiberglass insulation and I thought I got a whole bunch of fiberglass in my skin and I had a fiberglass rash. But I was confused, because I had showered right after and the skin that was unexposed was breaking out too,  It was the worst on my chest area, face and fore arms which were the exposed areas. So I was convinced it was fiberglass, but Joey and my mom seemed to think otherwise. So that night I still took my antibiotic... idiot I know, and that morning it went from being a few little bumps to a ton all over my body and they itched like crazy.... still itching, but not as bad. My face and ears where getting puffy but they hurt, also I was having a hard time breathing, so Joey called the Doctor and he said it was definitely an allergic reaction and not the fiberglass and because I was having a hard time breathing to head up the the ER. We go through registration and finally meet our ER doctor for that day... haha. He finds out my  history and what meds I'd been taking and he says: "Well from the sound and looks of it, this is a typical rash you get with mono while taking an antibiotic. It created an allergic reaction inside your body, but it doesn't necessarily mean your allergic to the antibiotic." He also says that he wants to test me for mono and that it could take a day for the results to get back...wait, My doctor already did that and he should already have the results. So the ER doc checks the system to see if my results where in there, later to find out that the lab didn't even send the results to our primary doctor. He was a litlle P-O'ed. The ER did find the results and it came back that I have mono, and antibiotic created an allergic reaction inside my body... YEA mystery solved... No more ER trips. Luckily we have met our out of pocket maximum, so everything is pretty much free. Except for the prescriptions. Which add up when you are on 50 different ones a week. oh Joey has mono too, but it's a different stand??? yeah, I'm confused too. So there is the explanation to the pictures in the previous post.

Mononucleosis + Antibiotics =

I've been Tagged... twice!

Ok so here are the Rules

one. Link the person who tagged you
two. Post these rules.
three. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours.
four. Tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them.

Okay, so I was tagged by 2 people. Laura tagged me back in August... I know. But I have a Legit reason. I had my appendix taken out. I know I could have done it sooner than this though. Sorry. I was also tagged by Finding Equipoise. SO I'm going to combine them, they are the same topic of ?'s. so it worked out. Laura's just had a little twist.

one. I got made fun of for not tweezing my brows once, so I tweeze them almost everyday now. I didn't know it was THAT noticeable. My brows are pretty dark though.

two. I really only enjoy 3 t.v. show's. Heroes, The big bang theory, and lipstick jungle. They are the only 3 shows that I started watching from the 1st season.

three. I love "trying" to figure out HTML and creating blog backgrounds/headers!

four. I could eat cereal for every meal.

five. I like to pop zits... gross, I know.

It's a BIG day!

Today is the first time Kaiyenna fell asleep on the couch with out melatonin. YEAH. I'm so excited for this stage, you have no idea!!
It also means that she may snuggle and fall asleep, which will be helpful when we are out and she's tired. I love you baby girl!

(The inside)
All of these samples had to be hand stamped... considering it's for a stamping co. I really hope it's what they are looking for. This would be the type of job that I think would be worth leaving the kids for. And it would be something I would really enjoy doing! I haven't heard back yet but hopefully soon. We really need the $$. Thanx guys.
