I've been home alone now for nearly 5 days. What an odd feeling it's been to be alone. My beautiful wife ran off with our two beautiful children to enjoy a short vacation in St. George with her sister and some friends. The house has been so silent. I miss hearing the cries of my beautiful babies, and the scorns of a loving wife encouraging me to get off my duff and do something aside from watching Jazz Basketball (It's playoff time, so only a few more weeks of Jazz Basketball to suffer through honey. I love you!)
I've tried to keep myself busy, with softball, golfing and most of all working. I spent Friday evening at work until Saturday morning at 1:00 am. A 16 hour workday??? I must be going nuts.
As I sit here and type this post, all I hear is the humming of our tiny silver fan on our dresser and the creaking of the black rocking chair on which my duff is resting. It's lonesome...But I'm excited!!! My family returns home to me this evening. It will be nice to wrap my arms around my wife and kids. I can't wait for the sweet kisses and tight squeezes from each of them. I have been blessed with the most perfect family and hope they know how much I truly do love them. I have learned this past week that my life would be absolutely miserable without them. It's as if a piece of me has been missing.
To my wife and kids...I look forward to seeing you this evening. I love you. I hope you had fun without me (not too much though...I'm not sure I could handle another 5 day stint without seeing any of you).
I miss you and I love each of you Super SMUCH!!!
